A new release of the OS X update client is now available! The focus in this release is integration with our free DynDNS.com Internet Guide service.
If you're interested in our Internet Guide service, but find that setting your DNS servers manually on Leopard and Snow Leopard can cause problems with VPNs, then give the client a try and enable Internet Guide when prompted.
The client dynamically sets the machine's DNS to Internet Guide without making any permanent changes to your network settings, so reverting your settings is as easy as stopping the daemon. The client also detects VPNs and gracefully allows them to set DNS until the VPN connection is ended.
Changes since 2.4:
* Internet Guide integration - set your DNS servers dynamically without interfering with VPN connections.
* Improved diagnostic email template with more useful information for troubleshooting.
* Reduced logging of non-warning messages by default.
* Fix for a version problem with the widget present in the beta release.
You can grab it at the link below, or choose "Check for Updates" in your current client to upgrade.
