Hey everyone,

The DNS report tool from our DynLabs page has finally graduated to a full-fledged service, DNSCog (http://www.dnscog.com). This new suite of utilities offers a comprehensive DNS report, traceroute, WHOIS lookups and DNS queries - all completely free.

If you run into any unexpected issues using the new tools, please be certain to post as much information as possible (URL, error messages, the domain you queried, which tool you used, etc.) to help us better improve the service. It's still in beta, so we certainly appreciate any feedback you may have.

Thanks!
~Jason

Can we have an option for the DNS lookup to pick the record types, or have it automatically check for standard record types? Being able to say "I just want the MX records" or "I just want the TXT records" would be useful.

I do like the fact that it works with Javascript disabled, that and the fact that it provides the raw output from the tools.

Yep, that's one of the next items on our list of improvements.

Hi.

I don't find a better place to put this, so here I am...

The DNSCog service is great, but I have a issue with one item, "Check for A records corresponding to NS records".

DNSCog report say I have no "A" records for my "NS" records, but I have... and others services like intodns.com don't reclaim about this...

Check it out: http://www.dnscog.com/report/itflex.com.br
