 Post subject: dyndns with Airport extreme

Has anyone succeeded in getting dyndns to work with an Airport Extreme. I can get it to work on a computer (using the dyndns updater program) that is on the AE network but would like it to work on the router directly, irrespective of whether that computer is on that network at any given time. I tried to enter the dyndns account details in the Airport utility window under global bonjour seeting to no avail.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Currently, Dynamic DNS support is not working for the AirPort Extreme, and folks have to use one of our update clients running on their PC.

However, we're about to start testing this functionality in a limited beta in the next few weeks. If you would like to send me an email to cvw AT dyn DOT com, I would be happy to include you in the beta program to help us test Dynamic DNS integration with the AirPort Extreme.

We've begun a beta with DynDNS.com and Apple AirPort Extreme, AirPort Express, and Time Capsule. The beta also tests Wide Area Bonjour support.
